How to Reset AirPods and AirPods Pro A User Guide

Do you know how to reset AirPods? Well, Original Apple’s AirPods, 2nd-generation ‌AirPods‌ , and AirPods Pro all have a reset function back to their factory settings. Plus, it comes quite handy if you’re moving down the wireless earphones to someone else. Or else you are facing any issue with them. In this article, you will learn how to reset your ‌AirPods‌.

Reset Original & 2nd-Generation ‌AirPods‌

Follow these steps carefully to reset original & second-generation AirPods:

Step 1: Ensure that both ‌AirPods‌ are in their charging case; both the earbuds and their patients have a charge.

Step 2: Then, add the small button at the case back, near the bottom. It’s a blush with the patient and the same color as it, so you probably want to feel about it.

Step 3: Next, head over to the charging case lid.

Step 4: Click and hold the button at the case back for a minimum of 15 seconds. So, The case’s internal light b/w the ‌AirPods‌ will flash white and then change into amber. This indicates that the ‌AirPods‌ have reset. (After having a Wireless Charging Case, this light is on the front of the case.)

How to Reset AirPods Pro

Follow these steps carefully to reset AirPods Pro:

Step 1: First, put the ‌AirPods‌ in their case and then close the lid.

Step 2: Then, wait for 30 seconds, then open the lid.

Step 3: Next, On your iOS device, head over to Settings -> Bluetooth and click the circled “i” icon located next to your ‌AirPods‌.

Step 4: Here, Click Forget This Device and click again to confirm.

Step 5: So, After the ‌lid of the AirPods‌ case open, Tap and hold the button on the case back for about 15 seconds until you view the status light flashing amber.

Step 6: Well, When the lid of the case open, put your ‌AirPods‌ close to your device and then follow the steps on your device’s screen to reconnect your ‌AirPods‌.

And all done!

Ensure that the ‌AirPods‌ are reset. So, They will no longer automatically recognize any of the devices connected to your iCloud account. Open the ‌AirPods‌ case located near an iOS device that will start the setup process, the same as the first time when you used them.
